All are housed in a metal package and the SFP 1.25Gb/s

The compact metallic enclosure includes a standard SC/UPC connector. The transceiver uses 1310nm, 1490nm, or 1550nm for transmission in one direction and 1310nm, 1490nm, or 1550nm for transmission in the other direction. The transceiver may be used for bidirectional data links u to SFP 1.25Gb/s over single-mode fiber. All SFP modules now include Digital Diagnostic Monitoring (DDM).This SFP transceiver is a brand product of Finisar. It is a multirate transceiver and can be used either for Gigabit Ethernet (1.25 Gb/s) as for the Fiber Channel protocol (1.06 Gb/s). but they have the same wavelength. They can be joined or be made into a single fiber or one strand in order to increase the throughput and make the performance even more efficient. It also becomes bidirectional (BIDI) so it’s able work on either direction.

SFP 1.25Gb/s module consists of a transmitter optical

The Netsys SFP Fiber Transceiver is the high performance and cost-effective module for serialoptical data communication applications specified for multimode of 1.25 Gb/s.Each module consists of a transmitter optical subassembly, a receiver optical subassembly and
an electrical subassembly. All of them are housed in a metal package and the combination produces a reliable component. The module is a duplex LC connector transceiver designed for use in Gigabit Ethernet applications and to provide IEEE-802.3z compliant link for
SFP 1.25Gb/s short reach applications.

OM1 Duplex Images are indicative only

Excel OM1 Duplex patch leads are generally available from stock in lengths from 1 to 30 metres. For requirements which may vary from this, such as specific length, colour or labelling requirements, please contact your local Excel distributor. Not all cable types and lengths are available from stock in both grey and orange please check with you nearest sales office for details.Enlarge ImageExcel Fibre Optic Duplex Patch Leads - Multimode OM1 Duplex 62.5/125NB: Images are indicative only. Each cable has strain relief boots to prolong and maintain performance levels of the assembly, transmit and receive 'legs' of each duplex cable are identified by means of ring type cable marker fixed to each end the assembly. A short distance from these identification rings heat shrink is applied to maintain an easy to manage bonded two fibre cable, finally a label containing a unique batch number is fixed to the centre of cable for quality and traceability purposes.

where the ports require an active SFP+ Passive DAC

Since SFP+ Passive DAC are often used between wo different vendors equipment, most vendors have removed EEPROM lock-out from their equipment. However, a few vendors maintain this lock-out feature. The goal of this technical reference is to provide uidance for understanding the compatibility of Panduit SFP+ Passive DAC Assemblies.
While most equipment vendors currently are pen to third party SFP+ DAC cables, the below table provides awareness of different known compatibility issues with Panduit DAC cable assemblies. The table below will be updated any time prior compatibility issues are resolved or new compatibility issues are discovered. It should be
noted that while most servers are open, compatibility issues can occur with a few CNA server cards (noted below). Additionally some FCoE ports require active copper cables.

The QSFP+ 56 Gbps AOC solution from Molex provides up to 4 km of reach

The 3M QSFP+ AOC assembly transmits four parallel channels each operating at 10 Gbps and is designed to meet the SFF-8436 standard, which is compatible with Infiniband QDR and 10G Ethernet standards. Using industry leading Vcsel technology and a new fiber coupling design, the 3M QSFP+ AOC assembly provides excellent performance value and is cost effective. The QSFP+ interface is a 38p paddlecard with 19 contacts populated on each side of the PCB. LISLE, IL, Nov. 9 – Molex Incorporated announces the availability of its QSFP+ low power 56 Gbps Fourteen Data Rate Active Optical Cable (AOC) which delivers a reliable and less costly solution for aggregated data rates up to 56 Gbps over reaches up to 4 km at Super Computing 2012, November 10-16 in Salt Lake City, UT, Molex booth 3745. The QSFP+ 56 Gbps AOC integrated cable requires less than 1 W per cable, and provides the flexibility of traditional optical modules by interfacing to systems via a standard Multiple Source Agreement QSFP (Quad Small Form Factor Pluggable) connector.

SFP+ Cables can further be grouped into two types

Optical modules are connected to a host by either a XAUI, XFI or SFI interface. XENPAK, X2, and XPAK modules use XAUI to connect to their hosts. XAUI (XGXS) uses a four-lane data channel and is specified in IEEE 802.3 Clause 48. XFP modules use a XFI interface and SFP+ Cables use an SFI interface. XFI and SFI use a single lane data channel and the 64b/66b encoding specified in IEEE 802.3 Clause 49.SFP+ Cables can further be grouped into two types of host interfaces: linear or limiting. Limiting modules are preferred except when using old fiber infrastructure which requires the use of the linear interface provided by 10GBASE-LRM modules Also known as Direct Attach (DA), 10GSFP+Cu, 10GBASE-CR,[25] 10GBASE-CX1, SFP+, or 10GbE Cu SFP+ Cables.

SFP+ Transceivers supplied by Myricom have Myricom labeling

SFP+ is a standardized form factor for fiber optic transceivers and is used in datacom and telecom optical links, offering a smaller footprint and lower power consumption than sfpcables.com sell SFP+ Transceivers. Initial standard applications focused on 8G Fibre Channel, 10G Ethernet and 10G Fibre Channel, where the electrical interface to the host board is a standardized serial interface called SFI. The applications have expanded to include SONET OC-192, SDH STM-64, OTN G.709, CPRI wireless, 16G Fibre Channel, and the emerging 32G Fibre Channel application. These industry-standard SFP+ (Small Form factor Pluggable 10.3125 GBaud) optical-fiber transceivers are supplied to Myricom from multiple sources. Myricom has qualified the transceivers from each source for performance and reliability. Some of the SFP+ Transceivers supplied by Myricom have Myricom labeling, as shown, and some have Compatible Cisco 40GBASE QSFP+ AOC Active Optical Cable, 15 Meters the manufacturers standard labeling. The 10GBase-SR transceivers operate at an 850nm optical wavelength, and are designed for 50μm (50/125) multimode fiber at distances of 26-82m depending upon the fiber, or at distances up to 300m over 50μm 2000MHz·km multimode fiber.
